Here in Vancouver, some folks are suffering under the delusion that hosting the winter Olympics will be a wonderful thing. Of course, for a very few, a few who are already rich, it will be. For the rest of us, and especially for those at the extreme end of the "less fortunate" category, they're most likely to be a disaster. Oh, well.

In the States, another potential disaster is unfolding. Hillary Clinton, obsessed with being "THE" candidate for the Democrats, continues to fight a losing battle for that party's nomination for Presidential candidate. Evidently, she wants to win so badly she's willing to scuttle the Party's (and the nation's) chances for a Democrat win in November. Very sad, but not unexpected. She is, after all, a politician. Oh, well.
